John Powell started covering George Mason athletics in 2009. He has worked with GMU's Office of Student Media for college athletics, following the men's basketball team to Cleveland last year. In addition, he works as a freelancer with AOL to cover Fairfax County high school athletics, HoopsAddict as a credentialed Washington Wizards blogger and any other event he can get into.
